At Hertel & Co. GmbH, the health and safety of our employees in the company is very important to us. For us, a safe and healthy workplace is not just a goal, but a responsibility we live out towards all employees.
In order to make this commitment measurable, solidly documented and continuously improved, we have decided to align our occupational health and safety management system with ISO 45001 and have it certified in the future.
ISO 45001 is the internationally recognised standard for occupational health and safety management systems and provides a structured framework for systematically identifying risks, reducing accidents and promoting the well-being of all employees.

- Reduction of occupational accidents, injuries and work-related illnesses
- Promotion of a healthy and safe working environment
- Fulfilment of legal regulations and regulatory requirements

- Analysing the internal and external context that influences occupational safety
- Management commitment to promoting an occupational health and safety culture
- Identification of hazards and assessment of risks and opportunities
- Setting targets to improve health and safety in the workplace
- Provision of resources, training and communication to implement the system
- Measures for monitoring, evaluating and continuously improving performance
- Emergency preparedness and response to effectively counter risks in the event of an emergency
Audits by certification body
- Testing and certification by an independent, authorised organisation
- Certification audit
- Regular monitoring audits (once a year)
- Regular recertification audits (every 3 years)
