These global goals should help to make our world fairer, more peaceful and more sustainable to shape the future. This is not only about environmental and climate protection, but also about social justice, economic stability and respect for human rights.
Assessment of the status quo
Sustainability is a process. In order to shape this path in a targeted manner, we at Hertel Kartonagen have systematically analysed where we stand today and what potential there is for even more sustainable corporate practice.
With the help of various analysis tools, we scrutinised our internal structures, processes and measures in the areas of sustainability, energy efficiency and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). The focus was on the following key areas:
- Economic sustainability
- Social sustainability
- Ecological sustainability
- Management of sustainable developments

The results of this status quo survey now form the basis for our voluntary sustainability report. This should not only document our successes to date, but also define new goals - openly, measurably and comprehensibly.
