Festtag zum Firmenjubiläum
On 26 June 2026, we at Hotel Kartonagen celebrated our company’s 75th anniversary – together with our customers, our suppliers and, of course, our team. How lovely it was, to have you all here with us in Bayreuth, to show you around our business and to spend this special day and evening together with you to spend!
Mornings: Guided tours of the premises
We took our guests directly in six groups of visitors through the ongoing production process and offer a unique glimpse behind the scenes. Our The team explained the work steps and machinery up close, so that the participants could experience every stage of the manufacturing process first-hand.
The approximately one-hour factory tour began with a short film about the company’s history, before the tour took the the entire production process showed – from the initial production of cardboard through to further processing and on to final dispatch.
Afternoon: Explore Bayreuth
Anyone who managed to drag themselves along despite the summer heat was warmly invited to the exciting afternoon programme. A shuttle bus took those interested directly from the factory grounds to the city centre, where there were three exciting activities to choose from – a guided tour of the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site: The Margravial Opera House, a delightful excursion into the Maisel’s Beer Experience World or an entertaining historical guided tour through our home town.
There was a party in the evening!
The festive evening got off to a flying start with sparkling wine and high spirits – and that despite temperatures that were still on course to break records! It turned into a Gala dinner, which left nothing to be desired. Well, almost none: cold beer was in short supply that evening, as even our fridge couldn’t quite cope with the heat.
We have deliberately avoided long celebratory speeches – Mr Gunther Hertel and his son, Mr Andreas Hertel, gave personal words of welcome to the guests.
Wine and cocktails stayed pleasantly cool, and as for the soft drinks, Luigi He quickly followed this up with an ice cube and a little bit of magic. The meal was cooked and served by the Bayreuth restaurateurs from the Phoenix Bayreuth – four courses, a cheerful atmosphere and plenty of lovely conversations amongst our guests. The band provided the perfect musical accompaniment The Russianness.
