Lamination is a process in which two materials are bonded together over a large area. The aim is to combine the properties of both materials - e.g. the stability of a carrier material with the appearance or functionality of a top layer. We use this process, for example, to bond printed paper with corrugated cardboard to produce folding cartons.

How does lamination work?
1. starting material
Laminating involves gluing two materials together flat, e.g. corrugated cardboard with printed paper.
2. gluing in
The carrier sheet, the thicker material, is coated all over with transparent dispersion glue.
3. grouting
The printed sheet is laminated and pressed onto the glued-in carrier sheet using two rollers with precisely set pressure.
4. laminated sandwich
The laminated sandwich sheet is removed from the machine and stacked and is now ready for further processing.
