Our low-emissions production facility conserves energy.
We have invested around 6.8 million Euro in our new, eco-friendly packaging plant in Oschenberg industrial estate, close to Bayreuth. The results have been impressive: the new building boasts 3 500 m2 of space for packaging production, roughly 2 000 m2 of warehousing space and 500 m2 of office space. It has been designed in a thoroughly eco-friendly manner. We have also acquired a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105; the waste heat from the machine contributes to our plant's energy supply.
Our new building does not utilize any fossil energy resources. It is heated with waste heat from the printing press, compressors and our IT systems, supported by air/water heat pumps. The result: the building meets energy-use standards 40% lower than those defined in the German Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) 2009.
This eco-friendly sourcing of power is boosted further by a 145 kWp photovoltaic system.

Our new production facility was designed to reflect our workflow, which has been optimized in collaboration with the Fraunhofer process innovation project group. The advantage: significantly improved throughput times and greater process transparency.
Our concern for the environment is not only reflected in our production processes and our building. We also choose products based on sustainable raw materials when selecting inks, varnishes and consumables. Our enterprise is FSC® and PEFC certified.
